In the original script, this scene called for more punching, but then as I looked at the scenery, I thought it might be more interesting to have MM solve his reach problem by throwing something big and heavy at her. Then when I looked at what else was around, I realized if Abby just ducked out of the way, people behind her would be put in danger, so I tweaked it to show her flying back to save them and putting the thing down in a used car lot so no one got hurt.

Before anyone asks, this Texaco station has long been abandoned, so no, there isn't any gasoline in the pumps. Also before anyone asks, no, the thing probably wouldn't have hurt her very much if she just took it, but it would probably have knocked her down and besides that, it's just normal human instinct to duck in a case like this. Plus shattered concrete and metal could have hurt the bystanders as well.

It seems that you've put lots of thinking to create the page!

But to be honest I got more curious on how her cell phone is still intact after that hand grab from MM. o.o

Anyway, the truck seems like a good alternative to a locomotive! :)

It's... a really, really good cell phone... um...?

Yeah! That's the ticket!

Chapter 5, page 5, I could see where the phone could have survived in the gap between his first and second fingers and also protected by her left arm. I'd rate it as at least possible.

I guess that means you win the no-prize!

Ever seen a video of a Locomotive hitting a Tractor Trailer? They are so much more massive & harder.
Deoxy 28th Aug 2017, 10:34 AM edit delete reply
Yeah, she should at least ditch the trailer - if it's full, it will break apart and be useless and annoying, and if it's empty, it's not enough weight to bother with.

And yes, a train locomotive is to a tractor trailer as a tractor trailer is to a car... or maybe a pedestrian.

full-speed hit him in the throat, then, while he's busy looking down to cover his throat, hit (or maybe jut lift) the back of the helmet upward from behind - she should be strong enough.

I refer you to LL's narrative about the helmet - "While he's grown, it's almost impossible to remove." She can't just lift the helmet off his head.

Plus plus, it doesn't tell HIM that it doesn't hurt her, so maybe he won't try something new (that might have a chance of working).

I just wonder if she's thinking by putting the gas pumps back that they'll still work. Love the page though.

She's dropping the gas pump in a used car lot, not back where they started. If you look at panel 3, you can see the used car lot behind her. She flew back past the blue and yellow cars, into an empty sopt, and let it down gently. So no, she doesn't think they're going to work again. ;)

Peel the helmet off like a big ol'e grapefruit peel! It might be fun trying, especially if the helmet is damaged beyond usefulness.

Oh oh, I know. Zap the controller so that the helmet shrinks all the way down to squirrel size. That would be fun too!
