This scene is meant to evoke the old Bronze Age tradition of the superhero's friends starting to catch on.

The first couple of shots took forever to render, until I realized the set designer had put his light emitters behind thick glass (the light covers). When I deleted those, it went much better. I tried to futz with the white point so that the change in light tone provided by the glass was mimicked. I think it came out OK, though it is not perfect.

Wow, they picked one heck of a "private" place for this.

Nobody's around, and they're not talking that loudly.

From a story perspective, the secret ID part is always the most fun.

It is a great source of angst and worry. Especially since it never really goes away if the hero has a secret identity.
