Another example of a page that worked better in my head than in DAZ 3D, mostly due to limitations in what I could do with the engine and resources available. The break-out scene from the ice is not quite what I had pictured, but I was limited by what the 'shattered' package (which is really designed for breaking glass, not ice) could do. Essentially I surrounded her with 6 window panes and then shattered them all, then messed with it in post to try and make it look a little ice-like. Not perfect, but as someone said on another page, with this volume of renders, I had to just move on after a while. The top panel still took about a week all by itself.

How did you do the fur on Wind Chill? Daz doesn't usually do fur as well as Poser does.
Very well done.

It's a slightly modified shader preset from one of the Genesis Supersuit packages.

Sadly I won't ever be able to use that one again, since it only works in 3delight. Starting in issue #2, I have switched to Iray.

I like it so far. I felt for you on the ice-thing. Short of modelling it yourself, I think you did a good job with what you had. Creative, your version of a force field.

Good choice, going with iRay. More efficient, especially if you have one or three Geforce GPUs. Reliable and (ultimately) easier to use (my opinion), I think it is the way of the future.

Iray is definitely the wave of the future for DAZ. Most items are coming out with both 3DL and Iray mats for now, but I would be surprised if that is the case in a year or two.

Bleh to Iray. Not a fan .. I prefer 3delight with all its buggys - ( Ive only had a hand full of crashes with it. )

You're really handling the "surprise powers" character development nicely. Her jump/first flight give me the exact right butterflies. Nice work.

It was a balancing act of showing her powers but not having her be too "good" at them yet. Since she is new to it all, after all.
