This page was originally scripted as 4 horizontal panels, but I decided to try vertical ones instead. I feel like the vertical ones are a bit more disorienting, which mirrors Abby's feelings at the moment -- she is not sure what this thing is or what it can do.

As a side note -- Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Did that thing punch through her in the last? Thought she has bullet proof.

Remember magic often works by different rules, even the big S himself could get flattened by spells we'll have to see how LL holds up

Yes, she is bullet proof.

In what way do you envision that a shadow creature from a magical dimension is equivalent to a bullet? :)

Vertical panels don't work well on computers unless one has at least one monitor configured in portrait mode.

I just got done reading a series of comics with my laptop, and all the vertical panels, every last one of them, was unreadable because they'd have to be shrunk to fit my screen resolution, which would render the speech bubbles literally unreadable.

At least your panels were crisp and readable, even if I did have to scroll up and down.

Vertical panels are a pain in the ass, and thus have EXACTLY the desired effect of being disconcerting. Normally I hate them, but this use seems completely justified.

I tried to put the dialogue boxes and balloons in places that would make it work but yeah... vertical is not something I will do often.

There are a couple of double-splash pages coming in issues 6 and 7 but I will shrink those down so you don't have to side-scroll, and then include a link to the bigger image.
