It's a good thing Abby's well off... or that might have been her only school uniform. Luckily she has several, so mom doesn't need to know one was destroyed (at least, not right away).

Well, in order to avoid having her mother find out, Abigail may end up doing loundry a lot more then what she wants to!

She already does her own laundry. Her little brother doesn't, but she's old enough.

When mom asks why the charcoal jacket is missing she may have to come up with something, though. ;)

I like the house. This was an excellent choice. It will provide a good space for many scenes.

Oh yeah...I meant to ask you...if Abbey goes to private school with uniforms and all, why were the lockers in such bad disrepair with graffiti and all? Either I saw it in a prior page or in a blog entry; not sure which...but I noted the condition of the school hallway in that scene.

I get it that not all schools would have brand new stuff, and even some private schools might have budgetary limitations, but this is not PS #1084 in a massive and underfunded school system.

It seems to me that graffiti would be somewhat "less", if for no other reason but that the maintenance crew Ajax's the worst of them during summer and holiday breaks and puts a new coat of paint on them at least once every year or two.

I know; these are the textures you have to work with. But I'm curious as to the "Treksplanation" (*).

(*) Treksplanation: To explain away something that on the surface appears to be a continuity, logic, or character discrepancy, usually AFTER filming and dialog have been completed.

For example, how can a ship with a maximum sustained speed of Warp 7 (about 343 times the speed of light) can get to the center of the galaxy within the span of one lifetime when we can calculate that even at warp 9 (about 730 times the speed of light), it would take us over 680 years to get there from Earth (assuming that half the breadth of the galaxy is about 50,000 light years across). The answer? "We broke the time warp barrier".

Whatever THAT means. :) Treksplanation for the win!

I definitely look forward to Fridays. Thank you for this!

You're right about the lockers. At the time I was not able to resurface them because of how they were modeled. But I know more about surfacing now, and Iray is a different beast, so I will try to resurface them before I use them again.

I'm not going back to reshoot the scene at this point though.

Lucky she keeps a clean room; if I did that, I'd dump stuff everywhere.

Good read up to here. I'm looking forward to more.

Abby's the "good child" of the family. But she is not an only child so we will get a look at a messy room in an upcoming issue (#3, in fact).

Mother has hideous taste in hair. Just saying...

Mom is a Genesis 1 model and I don't have that many resources for her. Now that I'm using iRay, I'm probably going to switch her over to a Genesis 3 model, and I have more hair options for those.
