She's finally wearing her costume... can't quite see all of it yet. Sorry, couldn't resist teasing everyone just a little bit more. ;)

Next page I promise!

I swear I did not do this to tease you... it's just how the script worked out. I wrote it long before posting even the 1st page of this comic.

Next week you get to see the whole thing, promise. :)

Great scene. I love the advertisements around the shop. When I saw the cape discussion, I could not help remember "The Incredibles."

Yes, I definitely remember the Incredibles scene.

Capes are out of fashion in this world too, but not because of the danger of them. Just because, well, if you look at modern comics, most heroes don't wear capes any more. A few do, but they are rare.

So where does Superman hide his glasses, not to mention his boots, hmmm? He can't really wear boots under his wingtips, now can he?

And I wonder how fast Abbey will be able to braid her hair when trouble calls, and how fast she'll be able to let it down again when she's late for a math or history exam.

Inquiring minds want to know!

Oh, and I agree about the leather, although it wears very well. I have a 25 year old leather jacket or three that still look brand new.

The cape scene is timeless. In fact, the entire Incredibles movie is full of classic moments, many of them belonging to ElastiGirl. "You should learn to be more...flexible!" "And I don't think you're striking the proper tone!"

Abby's a student, so she can keep her super-suit in her book bag. You've seen the bag already -- in issue 1. She's rarely without it at least on school grounds/after school.

As for the hair, you are right. In issue 4 she will not have time to braid it, and it will be a pony-tail instead. And at this point I'm trying to decide, long-term, which one I like better. I like aspects of each, so I may switch it up... when she has time, she braids, when she doesn't she just ties it back. We'll see.

At the time when I shot this, the elite ponytail did not exist yet for G2F, so the sporty braid was the only option. Originally (in City of Heroes) LL wore her hair down, like Supergirl or Wonder Woman. But none of the long-hair models in DAZ work correctly for flying positions (they collide with bodies and especially capes and don't look correct) so I had to go with one of the tie-back options, which are more controllable.

My favorite line of all time is from that movie: "I am your wife! I'm the greater good you're ever gonna' get!"

Nice Uniform. A helmet and you can be Evel Knievel's sister.

Yes, I had to look the spelling up. When I was a kid, we thought his name was Evil Cannibal. It works with my accent.

" No capes! " hehehe I loved that line -- every-time i see a hero with a cape Im reminded of it .. and yes I feel your pain with the long hair. its why i avoid it like the black death.

Yep, long hair is the bane of my existence.

Wait, wait... Shouldn't that be Garak? Or, did Odo retire from being a constable on DS9, and take up a vocation similar to Elim Garak's? If so, he's gotten better at shapeshifting into human form.

Maybe, since Earth now has supers, Odo is spying for the Founders. Wait! Founders... Founding Fathers... Did Odo time travel, back to the start of the American Revolution? Is Odo one of America's Founding Fathers? Is he in some way responsible for the supers that are turning up on Earth? Maybe he's actually trying to prepare us for when the Founders invade... XD (Sometimes, I've got way too much time on my hands and silliness in my head)

Just imagine DS9's Odo, with more arms than Spinnerette, sewing the stars on LL's costume. :D

Odo is a French name. Odo Dupre'. He's a French fashion designer, and should be pictured speaking with a French accent. ;)
