This is the 'inside' of the back cover, with a list of all the DAZ and Rendo resources I used to make this comic happen. The iRay symbol indicates that this whole issue was rendered with nVidia iRay technology.

Since this page isn't very exciting, I decided to do a double update this week. Credits today, back cover on Friday. Issue #3 starts the following Friday. Enjoy.

Look at all those resources! Wonder how much monetary investment goes into your comic.

On another note, I'll confess that I love her shoes...

Yeah... I try not to think about it. I just spent $60 last night on the Rune 7 pro bundle because it had some stuff in it I wanted and I think I can use Rune and the other 2 girls in the bundle as female supervillains... one day. And because it was 60% off and that kind of deal won't come around again until (maybe) March.

Typically I spend a couple hundred bucks a month on DAZ resources. Ugh.

yeah thankfully I dont have to build up as much in my assets anymore. And avoid things that arnt 3delight compatible. :P

But I pity someone whos just building the asset list.

I re-use as much as I can but eventually I am going to need to move to Gen 7 models. I'm already trying to do a Gen 7 version of LL... which is a pain because I really like the Cassie model and none of the new Josie ones look as good.

Hey im still using the Victoria four. Shes totally awesome. I would just keep LL at the same model as much as you can. Its a lot less of a headache.

The big issue is the skin. I have converted the Genesis 2 skins using the converter, and they definitely look decent, but the Generation 7 natively iRay skins are just so much more gorgeous than the converted ones, I would really like to move to those for my characters. However you cannot put those skins onto a Genesis 2 character... the UV maps are incompatible.

BAD daz So very BAD! not making those backward compatible is just deplorable. But ive run into it myself The original Andriod skins I used for TD and Ada were Victoria 3 based. I had to use texture converter to make them look decent.

Well iRay uses much higher resolution for textures than 3DeLight does, so the older skin textures just don't have the rez, no matter what you do with the shaders, to look as good as the newer iRay ones. I'd rather they progress to higher def stuff than keep it low rez forever. I'll adjust one way or another.

You can increase the resolution with Photoshop .. I do that all the time with my displays and screens. Otherwise they get jaggies along the lines.. There are some places where it sneaks though anyway.

Yes scaling up helps. I had to do that with the cape to prevent the stars from looking jagged around the edges on close-ups. But it only helps so much. Converting non-iRay to iRay can get you acceptable results but for truly gorgeous results you need something that was made for iRay from the start.

Are those five pages up somewhere?
Steven-Vincent 11th Jun 2016, 7:27 AM edit delete reply

I think Cent means that after tracking the resources she used for 5 pages it was so many she just gave up on it.

To be fair, Centcomm does use an awful lot of little set pieces in the background. It's no surprise that they add up.

Yup, you'd be surprised how many products are visible in a single shot.
