This is one of my favorite scenes in the first story arc. We've only seen Kludge briefly before but hopefully this scene will reveal a lot more about his character.

For a politician, his arrogance, corruption, ego, abusiveness, and general jerk-ness really all only seem to be about average. He's just going to have to try harder. He's got a lot of tough competition. Maybe kick a puppy or something.

Abby don't take any shit from him but also don't give him any ammunition.

Well, she's 16... and she's also brand new at this, so....

Sorry, Mom, I was late to babysitting because I had to fly over to city hall and confront a corrupt councilman.

Heheh... yeah, that'll get her out of trouble.

I love the flying scenes. But that must be a magic skirt for the front to not droop down and give a bloomer peep-show to the city. I mean really, she'd probably have to fly at least 45 MPH to avoid wardrobe malfunctions.

Maybe she has a wire hoop in the hem of that skirt...much like how my better cowboy hats have wire hoops in the brims.

Well she can fly a lot faster than 45 mph, but I don't think you'd need that much to keep the skirt from drooping.

Also remember the entire outfit was made by Odo the clothier to the superheroes and is constructed of non-standard materials because, as Liberty Man said in issue 2, normal cloth would be damaged too easily in a superfight (and this was quite clear in issue 1 after Abby got hit with the flames).

This is not to say that the material is indestructible or even all *that* tough, but Odo knows she can fly so he used slightly stiffer material in the skirt. The cape is also very light and more flexible than usual to avoid it tangling around her legs in combat, which is why you will see it flying out behind her in many scenes.

Odo knows what he is doing... which is why Liberty Man sent her to him. ;)

She proably also wears gymnastic shorts under there as well so all they would see is effectively yoga shorts.

The top is a leotard so yeah, you wouldn't really see anything... any more than you would a ballerina.
