This is actually one of the first scenes I wrote in this story arc, after doing the scene in which Liberty Man and Abby discuss where her powers came from.

I love writing TJ.

Got her by the short hairs.

I love the detail of dropping the glasses xD

Thanks, Rev.

That was actually a pain in the neck to do. For some reason the goggles don't obey the normal X-Y-Z rotation rules and it was a huge fight putting them where I wanted. After I shot the scene it occurred to me to put the goggle object into a one-object group and just move the group axis around, but I did not think of it until after.

actually. if they are a figure rather than a " prop" you can attach a null figure to the item and use that to manipulate it. I have had to do that for a wide number of things from guns to radios. to even swords.

Love the page btw!

Yet another trick I had not learned at the time of shooting this scene. But I will use it again for sure.

The Genesis 3 version of Abby... does not quite work with the goggles. I had to parent them to the head but not auto-fit them, since doing that broke them rather badly. Still not sure it will work... we'll see.

also you can take the entire " figure " and turn off bending.. that will keep them from shattering .. also yeah. just parent them its what i did with Democlus's helmet ( its made for M3 of all things.. and i can use it on anything this way ) but this trick only works with HARD items. and ones that don't have any joints or only simple joints.

The cape has to be done that way... it's just parented to LL's torso. Which makes it a pain in the neck some times when it doesn't follow her body right. It's one reason I'm considering using a slightly different cape when I move to G3. Although... I really like this cape.

this is awesome.

She is trying to argue with a kid about what he actually saw!

3 issues in and she already got caught maskless.

She's not great at the whole secret identity thing.
Steven-Vincent 8th Nov 2016, 12:00 AM edit delete reply
Well now she is new. She still has to get used to it all. Gotta figure she will make a few rookie mistakes.

Plus, she didn't realize TJ was home already.

Even though it's completely necessary and for a good reason, keeping a secret identity is basically always going to be about lying to, tricking, and hiding things from those people closest to you. For most virtuous hero types, that's probably never going to be their strong suit no matter how long they are at it - they're forcing themselves to do something inherently against their nature and so they frequently (probably subconsciously) slip up.

Yes... and we already know Abby feels bad about lying to her friends.

"cockroach" vs. "bull hockey"; hmmm, not sure which is more derisive.

I'm not fond of this part of the story, but I definitely like the poses of LL and particularly I like the G3 figure here, plus the costume. LL is definitely a winner, and her skin tones are coming through very nicely with iray. Definitely an improvement over 3DL.

This is a G2F figure, not G3F. I am still fighting with G3 to get a face shape that I want.
